Publications
DPE creates publications about the professional workforce, nonunion professionals, and unions of professional and technical employees. The focus of these resources is to assist our affiliated unions as they organize new members and engage their current memberships.
Our organizing publications provide DPE affiliated unions with guidance on developing strategies to communicate the benefits of a union and convince professionals to support a union in their workplace. These publications are tailored to the unique needs of professionals and are based on attitudinal data, interviews with professional union members, and social science research.
DPE develops fact sheets on occupations, demographic groups, sectors and industries, union members, and other topics important to professionals and their unions. These research summaries highlight trends and facts that unions of professionals should be aware of and understand. DPE also publishes other resources, including Iām a Professional. What can a union do for me? that answers common questions that nonunion professionals have about unions and overviews the benefits of forming a union.
